Caribbean Style Grilled Chicken Thigh – grilled boneless chicken thigh in spicy salsa verde sauce served with rice and potato apple salad. Php180.
Thumbs up:
Huge servings of rice and chicken meat
Refreshing green sauce: mouth-watering vinegar and mild herbs which complemented the chicken satisfyingly.
Thumbs down:
The chicken meat was a little bit chewy and the thicker portions were not cooked through (Hello, Salmonella!).
Where did the potato apple salad come from? Out of nowhere. Pun intended.
Grilled Beef Ribs – grilled beef ribs in special beef sauce served with rice and corn. Php270
Thumbs up:
The meat was fork tender
No strong beef aroma
Thumbs down:
Too sweet and lacked spice making the sauce irrelevant
Spicy Shrimp Somboon – sautéed shrimp and fresh crab meat in crab aligue and fresh coconut serve (sic) with rice. Php320
Thumbs up:
Perfect balance between spicy and creamy
akin to Paella, enjoy seafood explosion with every mouthful of this savory seafood stew
Thumbs down:
None
Overall Rating: 6 out of 10
There was a 10% service charge which also came out of nowhere (pun intended again) because first, we weren’t provided hot sauce when we asked for it. Second, they simply took the piece of raw chicken meat without offering a replacement, or, more importantly, an apology.
