Gerry's Grill Food Review

Gerry’s Grill is one of those restaurants you see at the mall that seem to always have diners around.

What I tried:

Dinakdakan (Php 215)

Molo Soup (Php 165)

Spicy Chicken Wings (Php 135)

Iced Tea (Php 70)

The Dinakdakan was supposed to be an appetizer, as indicated on the menu. Composed of deep-fried pork belly in mayonnaise, vinegar, and some red onions and chili, it tasted good but then it sits heavy on your stomach. I only managed to eat 3 pieces as it got too sour to my liking and made my tongue desensitized.

Gerry’s molo soup was a lighter version of the Filipino favorite, without the taste of too much commercial broth cubes.

The Spicy Chicken Wings were actually just fried chicken wings; nothing spicy or special about it. The meat was tender and juicy and cooked to the bone.

An expensive glass of iced tea that actually delivers, Gerry’s Iced Tea is a must-try. It’s got a less strong taste of a brewed iced tea.

The prices were too high considering that you can eat the same menu at a less expensive place.

DINING TIPS

#1

Try to arrive at the restaurant an hour before or after lunch/dinner time to be catered by the staff while they aren't busy yet.

#2

If you have time, check the restaurant's menu online first to know about how each dish is traditionally prepared and what to expect

Bon appetit!
